Encore Vocal Ensemble
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Encore Vocal Ensemble is San Diego’s go-to choral group for quality, entertaining performances of musical theatre at a great value. Through main stage and community performances, and a robust schedule of master classes, we are sharing our love of live performance with the San Diego region while expanding our capabilities as performers.
WHO WE ARE
Led by acclaimed Music Director Tim McKnight, Encore is recognized for its professional quality of performances and brings together a talented group of more than 50 singers, dancers, and actors who are looking to further improve their musicianship and give back to the community. Encore creates a safe space for singers of all backgrounds where diversity is celebrated and members support one another above all else.
A Letter From Our Board
Dear Friends and Family,
Since the advent of the coronavirus, Encore Vocal Ensemble has canceled all in-person singing rehearsals and postponed all performances until we receive word from our state & local officials that social distancing is no longer necessary and large groups may again meet. The safety and wellbeing of our membership and the community at large is our top priority and will remain so for the duration.
Though it saddens us to be unable to perform for you as we would in normal circumstances, we have chosen to see this time as an opportunity that we would not otherwise have had to pool our creative juices and focus on our next productions. And we have cause for some excitement: Encore’s 10-year anniversary is this Spring 2021, and we’ve already begun laying the groundwork for a blockbuster celebration of our first decade. We are committed to continuing to provide you with the best entertainment San Diego has to offer, and this show will be one for the ages!
Nonprofit organizations worldwide are experiencing financial difficulties due to the coronavirus, and Encore Vocal Ensemble is no exception.
